Psychology + Occupational Therapy

Understanding you.
Supporting everyday life.

Psychology helps us understand thoughts, feelings and experiences, while occupational therapy helps us look at how things are affecting everyday life and what you would like to do more easily.

Bringing the two together means we can look at the whole picture and find an approach that feels right for you.

Psychology

Understanding thoughts, feelings and experiences.

Psychology can help you make sense of your thoughts, feelings and experiences, and understand how they may be affecting everyday life. Together, we can explore what you would like to change and use psychological approaches that are suited to you.

This may include support with anxiety, low mood, stress, confidence, life changes, the emotional impact of pain, or cognitive difficulties.

We work together to understand what matters to you and what you would like help with. Your support is shaped around you, your circumstances and what you would like to do more easily in everyday life.

What this can mean for you

A better understanding of what you are experiencing, alongside psychological approaches that can help you move towards the changes that matter to you.

Occupational therapy

Making everyday activities more manageable.

Occupational therapy looks at the things you want or need to do in everyday life. That might mean looking after yourself, working, studying, managing a home, spending time with others or doing something you enjoy.

Together, we look at what would make these activities more manageable. We can explore practical changes to your routines, the spaces you use, how you approach an activity or what you expect of yourself. The aim is to support the roles that matter to you and the independence you would like.

What this can mean for you

Practical help with everyday activities, routines, roles and independence.

Working together

Support that fits your life.

Pain, mood, memory and neurodiversity can all affect one another, as well as how everyday life feels.

We take time to understand what is happening for you, what matters most and where you would like support. Together, we can explore how you are feeling and find practical ways to make everyday life feel more manageable.
